for everyone

We had our first adoption from the Adopion & Rescue Center last Sunday!

Chirpy is a 12 year King Charles Spaniel that the owner decided to put to sleep after
he was no longer useful. The owner used him all his life as a stud to
breed and sell puppies and now that he was old, they didn't want him
anymore. Fortunately, a lady called Stephanie rescued him and put him in
boarding initially. The cheapskate owner didn't even want to help with
the boarding fees ! Well, lucky Chirpy found a great home with Angela
now, who also has another old King Charles and they have become fast
friends !

Our next phase involves raising more money through the Foundation Fund
to build up the ARC and keep the place running. Our immediate priority
to raise about $9000 now to tile the domitories so that the maintenance
will be easier and cleaner and the dogs will be more comfortable.
Currently the rough cement floor causes callouses in the dog's paws and
joints and algae and mold grow easily in the cracks. We are hoping to do
this as soon as possible before Septemeber where another scheduled 10
dogs are coming in

Our sincere and utmost grateful thanks to the people who have sent us
your contributions and we would be most grateful if all of you can help
to spread the word so we can realize this objective

Many thanks also to the volunteers who go up every weekend to help with
the cleaning and interaction of the dogs. We do need more dedicated and
sincere volunteers, so if you are able to volunteer of your time and
effort, do drop us a mail at info@asdsingapore.com

Many thanks to all who have given your support and we will update you
again soon!

Poor Chirpy! Glad he found a home.
A pet is for life. Keeping a pet involves a lifetime commitment to love, provide and care for it.
Never abandoned your companion animal.
Never buy purebred or pedigreed dogs from a pet breeder or pet store, when dogs waiting for adoption are available free from animal rescue groups like
Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD) http://www.asdsingapore.com/,
SPCA http://www.spca.org.sg/
Animal Lovers League http://www.animalloversleague.com/
or adopt a stray dog from the streets.

Responsible dog owners should sterilised their dogs.
Sterilisation help to reduce the over-population of stray dogs and pet abandonment.

Good luck to ASD foundation fund, hope it raise enough funds to build the ARC.

Grrrr absolutely loathe people who take pets for granted. I could wring their necks if I was face to face with them. Nevertheless, I will definitely help spread the word around. I always try my best to help these unfortunate animals. Hope they raise more than required =oÞ

Well done Colleen, you are doing amazing work promoting animal rights. I am looking after another RSPCA cat here in Canberra but I really should be doing more. Thank you for reminding us of our responsibilities as humans to look after our animal friends!
