It's always a pleasure to return to Hong Kong. The weather was surprisingly good this time. Not much of that
foggy overtone it usually has. The beautiful blue sky enabled us to see across Hong Kong island to Kowloon.
As usual, a trip to any of my favourite asian countries means seeing my favourite Miss World girlfriends.
In this case, the lucky winner is Miss Hong Kong, the angelic, Janet.
Guy and I met with her very interesting boyfriend, Chester who had just returned from London where he
smashed 2 cars while racing..I'm not even going to mentioned how much that cost him, or should I say his
dad, who happens to be a racer himself.
They brought us out to a chinese restaurant, I
forget what it's called, where we had a few courses of food including sharks fin.
For those who know me well, you can imagine the debate we had when the meat dishes and sharks fin
arrived. We survived it and still managed to enjoy the food. ;D
The day after, Janet and I had the afternoon to ourselves. We did all the girlie things, ate at our favourite
Italian restarant, Cova and headed off to get our nails done.
I really feel for the girl, while we were being pampered at the nail salon, we noticed that she was mentioned
in an article in a magazine. It was a picture of her at an event and they zoomed in on her feet, pointing out
that she had a red mark on one of them. They assumed she was doing to much sport. How horrible!
Well that's the Honkie paparazzi for you. The funny thing is, the day Guy and I were leaving HK, I stopped at
a news stand and picked up a random local magazine. Whatyaknow! There poor Janet was again, this time
being scrutinsed for a scratch on her knee. I'm trying to think of a publication in Singapore that could
possibly come close to having a similar angle..8days? The New Paper? But still it's so mild in comparision.
Anyway, we had a blast, and we were delighted seeing Janet again so soon after our wedding
